Powered charging flap with a Type 2 charger displays current charge level information at a glance. Also available are safety functions including obstacle detection & automatic door closing when flap is open, yet charging is not occuring for more than 120 seconds.

V2L Exterior

Utilising outdoor V2L connector, the EV9 can be used to power electronics, home appliances and even charge other compatible EVs through Vehicle‑to‑Vehicle charging (V2V).

Regenerative Braking

Smart Regenerative Braking automatically adjusts the regenerative braking based on forward traffic flow, harnessing braking energy to improve driving range & efficiency. Blind‑Spot Collision‑Avoidance Assist (BCA) warns you if there is a risk of collision with a rear side vehicle in the blind‑spot while changing lanes. When forward exiting a parallel parking spot, if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind it automatically assists with emergency braking.

Surround View Monitor*

Surround View Monitor (SVM) displays images of the situation around the vehicle in various views for safe parking, including 360° view in 3D. Furthermore the view can be transmitted to your compatible smartphone with Kia Connect app installed.

Safe Exit Warning & Safe Exit Assist*

Safe Exit Warning (SEW) & Safe Exit Assist (SEA) warns you if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind when an occupant opens a door to exit the vehicle after coming to a stop. When the driver presses the Electronic Child Lock button to drop off a passenger in the rear seat, if the risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind increases, the electronic child lock remains locked to help prevent the door from opening.
